The African Diaspora

The African Diaspora was one of the biggest diaspora and involved one of the darkest moments in human history. At the time and place many African kingdoms began various successes (Mansa Musa had a lot of wealth, promoted education at Timbuktu, and was a devout Muslim.) However, soon European nations like Portugal in their hunt for expansion and trade soon began to contact these kingdoms. And since native peoples in the Americas began dying under harsh slavery; soon many promoted getting African slaves to do plantation work as a substitute. Then many countries became making slave trading companies like the Royal African Company in the U.K.
